Plain words about what this page keeps, who hears a conversation, and what happens when you book something.
Your hosts run it — it comes with the house, not with an account or a sign-up. If anything on this page reads wrong to you, that is a conversation with a person: Nicole, 1 (530) 205-3434.
Almost nothing. There is no account, no ad trackers, and the page sets no cookies. It does count visits — which screens get opened, and whether a plan arrived here from the television — so your hosts can tell which parts of the guide are worth keeping. The television counts the same handful of things about itself, and for the same reason; it has no idea who is holding the remote, and neither of them records anything you type. That counting is done by Vercel, who host the page; it is anonymous, it sets nothing on your device, and it cannot follow you anywhere else. This page you are reading now is the one screen that carries no counter at all. Your saved plan lives in this browser — clear the browser and it is gone. Tap Share plan and the link itself carries the list, so the plan reaches exactly the people you send it to. Opening the page from your booking link keeps your booking code in this browser too, so a refresh still knows it is you; the code goes to the house's own server so it knows which stay is asking — for the Wi-Fi row, and with each message you send in chat.
Your voice concierge is a computer, run for your hosts. OpenAI processes the speech and writes the answers. The conversation and your selected plan go to the house's server when needed to answer a question. Your booking link is checked before private house details are shared. The application does not request a saved audio recording from OpenAI; this is not a promise that the provider retains no data. Questions the guide cannot answer are saved for your hosts, so they can improve the guide. Speaking about a plan does not change the selections saved in your browser.
The phone concierge is also a computer. Cartesia carries phone calls and keeps the recording and written transcript; Claude, made by Anthropic, writes the answers. Your number travels with a phone call and helps the house recognise your booking. The hosts can read what guests asked, including questions the guide could not answer. In typed chat, your conversation stays in this browser and travels with each message to the house's server and Anthropic; the server keeps no chat thread of its own. For anything urgent, call Nicole. For an emergency, call 911.
Booking happens on Viator, not here — their checkout, their payment, their terms, and their support if a booking goes wrong, though the hosts will help you untangle it. The house earns a commission on those bookings and it costs you nothing extra; the full note sits at the foot of the Book tab, where the booking happens. Marketplace items are not host-vetted — only a card with a Host's pick badge carries the hosts' own word. Prices and start times are Viator's and can move; each card's page carries the current ones.
Neither is in this page — not printed, not hidden in the code. The Wi-Fi details are fetched only after your booking link identifies you, sent only to you, and never written into the page itself. The door code is never shown anywhere: the House tab states the rule that opens the door instead.
The webcam is not ours. It is Prism's camera at Stateline, credited on the cam view. The picture on this page is a still the page was built with; open the live view and your browser fetches the current frame from the camera's own service, the same as opening their site.
Most pictures of places here are the hosts' own, or the ones a business publishes of itself. These came from Wikimedia Commons, where somebody gave them away on the condition that they are credited. That is the condition, and this is where it is met. The addresses are written out rather than linked, because this page does not link off itself.
The guide tells you what it knows and rules out what does not fit the day, but the lake does not read it: roads close, water turns, kitchens shut early. Check the thing that matters before you drive, and decide for yourself what is safe — especially on the water. In an emergency, call 911 first.
